Skills and knowledge learnt whilst combining Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Provider roles have provided the platform for Laura to not only provide high quality comprehensive assessments but to also understand and satisfy the requirements of Rehabilitation Providers, claims managers and employers.

Laura’s specialist interest in mental health has seen her develop her skills and knowledge to become an integral member of our Mental Health team. Laura has been instrumental in assisting injured workers to increase their daily levels of functioning with the view to increasing capacity to work towards work capacity. Through comprehensive mental health assessments Laura is able to identify an injured worker’s abilities and limitations and address the issues that prevent the injured worker from fully participating in their chosen occupation.

Laura also has a background undertaking workstation/ergonomic assessments, job analysis and activities of daily living Laura’s recommendations and graduated return to work schedules are based on achievable goals and outcomes. They include evaluation; consultation and intervention with the overall aim of assisting an injured worker overcome the physical and emotional limitations caused by workplace injury.
